consists of work work (ezgsa is going strong cause, damn, our government decided that passing out contracts like halloween candy paves the way through this virus), art work, furniture-ing work, working out, and a few other things.
finally pulled up all the blue bottles surrounding the outer edges of the front yard — distance and weather proved too difficult for the LEDs and i got tired of replacing them. now they form a sort of bouquet right in front of the porch.
yesterday, satch and i and boba met satch’s friend oscar and his dad to hike the cabin john trail off bradley on our first beautiful day in weeks. satch started as pikachu, but climbing over tree roots proved difficult. after a few hundred yards, pikachu ended up in my backpack.
front porch evolving. the ottoman/stool i made sits there and you can see the cool hammock. looove sitting in there. making some more plant stands now and have some micro curtain-y LEDs arriving soon.
the robins built a nest on one of the porch pillars a few weeks ago, but abandoned it, and then came back to it this week. couple of eggs laid, and she’s become used to my hanging out here in the afternoons.
really enjoyed the parks & rec quarantine special. comforting, familiar, caring characters. satch and i watched it live and then again with mo and marxe. i’m so lucky to have my kids home and safe with me. noticing the traffic picking up a little again. quarantine fatigue they say. the dogs jump out of any fatigue as soon as they see the rabbits prancing around the front yard. my little world.
