hanging sculptures
recycled plastic bottles, beads, acrylic paint, posca pens, glitter, fishing line, various found objects, glass, silicone glue, hot wax, wire, washers . (2021 -ongoing)
cold came back into my part of the world and i turned inward, joyfully. using items collected over the years for just this purpose, i started painting and decorating and connecting these oj and kombucha and medicine bottles. some of them have tons of detail, some are more abstract. emanating an array of colors into the world, some lit within (LEDs), most shining back at you (thank you Bob Benson for helping me start in this direction). made a fundraising one for ukraine, some as presents, and “SOS: Healthcare” for an Artwatch exhibit at Touchstone Gallery. most of them hang on my front porch or in my trees. more to come.
